The Roma manager has criticized the referee after losing to Sevilla on penalties.
UEFA has issued reports to match officials after Jose Mourinho verbal abuse of referee Anthony Taylor after Roma's Europa League final defeat The PA news agency said it was waiting and deciding whether to impose disciplinary action.
Roma manager Mourinho lashed out at Taylor at his post-match press conference after losing to Sevilla on penalties in Budapest on Wednesday night.
And in video footage later released on social media, Taylor, the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager, gestures to Taylor and his associates in the stadium parking lot to say 'shame on you'. You can see how it looks.
Taylor saw off Mourinho in a 1-1 draw after extra time as Sevilla won 4-1 on penalties to clinch their seventh Europa League title.
Emotions boiled both on and off the field in a disappointing final. Thirteen players received yellow cards, seven of which were sent to the Roma players, while fourth referee Michael Oliver was busy maintaining control of both shelters.
The game was riddled with delays, adding 25 minutes of extra time to the 120 minutes of the game.
Mourinho was eliminated in his sixth major European final for the first time, but Sevilla extended their tournament winning streak following their successes in 2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020.
Mourinho entrusts his future as Roma coach Post-match defeat to Sevilla in their first European final further reinforced suspicions that Mourinho was 'too tired'.
The match ended 1-1 in Budapest, with Paulo Dybala's opening goal ruled out by an own goal from Roma defender Gianluca Mancini, who won 4-1 after a penalty shootout.
For the 60-year-old Mourinho, a defeat like this is a new experience. Mourinho has won all five of Europe's major finals, including last year's inaugural UEFA Conference League final against Italy.
"As a coach, as a spokesman for the club, I am too tired to fight every time," he said shortly after the loss.
Mourinho told reporters that questions about his own future were "not important at the moment", adding that he was looking forward to taking a break after the season.
Roma are sixth in Serie A with one game remaining
The Portuguese player said he was disappointed with the final coach and felt his many decisions were going against his men.
"I felt the pressure against a team that was more talented than us," he said.
"Even when we won, we never went home with more pride than today. We worked hard on penalties. I could, but I missed two, but overall it wasn't just the penalty taker. The boys should be proud of what they have done and return home in peace. These are my sons from Budapest. "
